Programs
The Blossburg Memorial Library hosts a number of programs, activities and special events throughout the year – check the Events Calendar for dates and times. All of our programs are free and open to the public, thanks to generous support from the Friends of the Blossburg Memorial Library and many other community organizations.
For Everyone
We host a Community Night on the second Tuesday of every month from 5-6:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you’re coming on your own, bringing a friend, or joining with your whole family. Pizza and fun activities are always provided!
Throughout the year, we have programs featuring various presenters, from musicians to paleontologists. All are welcome to attend!
Children’s Programs
Preschool Story Hour for ages 0-5 takes place in the spring and fall, once a week on Tuesday mornings for 8 weeks.
The Bloomsburg Children’s Museum brings their traveling STEM programs to our library every fourth Thursday from 4-5pm for ages 5-12.
We offer a diverse array of summer programs for children, from weekly clubs to week-long camps. Every summer is a little different, so check the Events Calendar and follow us on Facebook for more details!
Tween and Teen Programs
We offer tweens and teens ages 10 and up the opportunity to come to the library without a caregiver as long as they have prior parent/guardian consent. Stop by with your tween or teen to fill out a permission form.
We often schedule a week-long summer camp specifically for tweens and teens. Check our Events Calendar and follow us on Facebook to find out more.
Teen Book Club is held once a month, usually on the third or fourth Monday from 6-7pm. Check our Events Calendar for the date each month, and stop by the library to get a copy of this month’s book!
Adult Programs
We host several sessions of Yoga each year on Tuesday mornings at 9am in our Community Room. Check our Events Calendar for specific dates.
We hold Book Club on the last Tuesday of each month at 4pm in the Community Room. No commitment is necessary – just come if you can, even if you haven’t read or finished the book. And feel free to bring a friend! The books are provided by loan from the Potter-Tioga Library System. Open to everybody.
Stop by to join us for Mahjong on Wednesdays at 12:00pm in the Community Room. Beginners welcome!
Volunteering
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to anybody wishing to give back to the community. Stop by or call to learn how you can become a front desk volunteer, a program volunteer, or how to become a Friend of the Library. There are so many opportunities to help!
